Hosting subscriptions

Managed hosting plans after accept: trial rules, attaching a domain you own, plan limits and when a delivered app stays online on Velcio.

Hosting keeps a completed Web delivery online on Velcio after you accept. It is optional. Accept without hosting and run the source elsewhere, or choose a plan during accept (14-day trial) or later from the completed project (billing starts immediately).

Worker deliveries have no public site. Plans below are for Web projects on *.velcio.app.

The trial only applies if you turn hosting on during accept in review. Accept without hosting and you can still start later from the completed project or Apps, but billing starts immediately.

Plans (GBP per replica per month)

Prices are per replica. Stripe charges plan price × desired home-region replicas. Temporary region failover (Pro/Scale) is not billed. Change plan or replica count from the project page when you need more capacity. Increases and decreases are prorated.

Stopping a deployment does not stop hosting billing. Cancel hosting (or scale replicas) to change what you pay.

PlanPrice / replicaBest forCapacity
Starter£3.99Small sites, portfolios256 MB RAM / 0.25 vCPU · 1 replica
Standard£5.99Growing sites and small web apps512 MB RAM / 0.5 vCPU · up to 2 replicas
Pro£9.99Larger or customer-facing apps1 GB RAM / 1 vCPU · up to 3 replicas · temporary failover
ScaleCustomHigher traffic or special needsNot self-serve

One hosting subscription per project. Cancel or change plan from the project while hosting is active. Self-serve tops out at Pro.

Multi-service deliveries (frontend + API as separate processes) are not available yet. When they ship, each service will count as a separate app on the same project subscription (quantity = sum of replicas across services).

Website address

Web projects get *.velcio.app. First deploy gets a random subdomain. After you accept, open hosting and Change subdomain (lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, at most three changes per 24 hours). Old addresses keep working forever as aliases (handy for webhooks).

You can attach one hostname you already own (for example shop.example.com). Buy the domain from any registrar. Velcio does not sell or include domains. Save the hostname in hosting, add the Host / Type / Value as a DNS-only CNAME at your registrar (do not Cloudflare-proxy it), then Check DNS. Apex domains (example.com) are not supported in v1. When the custom domain is active, Open app prefers it. The platform address still works.

By default Velcio serves a simple robots.txt at the edge: *.velcio.app (and aliases) stay out of search engines; a verified custom domain is allowed to be indexed. Turn Manage search indexing off in hosting if you want your app’s own robots.txt instead. Preview URLs always disallow indexing.

Accept with hosting (during review)

  1. Choose a plan and complete Stripe Checkout on the project
  2. Return and Accept delivery with hosting
  3. Build payment is already handled on the normal path. The site stays online on your subscription

Start hosting later (completed project)

  1. Choose a plan and Checkout from the project or Apps
  2. Activate hosting after payment succeeds
  3. Velcio brings the site online on that plan

Cancellation

Cancel from the project page. The site goes offline when the subscription ends (including any grace for failed payments).
