Developer payouts
Connect Stripe onboarding, understand hold times after the buyer accepts, and get paid for completed Velcio deliveries.
Published · Updated
Velcio pays through Stripe Connect Express after the buyer accepts (or after auto-accept / termination fee). Their card is authorised when they fund and charged after 24 hours. Your payout hold starts when they accept.
You do not get paid at fund. You get paid after handoff, once the payout hold for that project price ends.
Onboarding
- Settings → Developer profile
- Finish Stripe Connect (identity and payout details)
- Come back when Stripe marks the account ready
You need Connect before Velcio can transfer your share. Stripe may also charge Connect or bank fees on your Express account.
After Connect is ready, Open Stripe Express dashboard on your profile (or payouts) for bank details and deposits. View payout history on the developer dashboard lists pending and paid amounts across projects and revisions.
If Connect is incomplete, you can still deliver. Transfers stay blocked until Stripe marks the account ready.
When you get paid
After accept (or auto-accept), payout is scheduled, not instant. Funds sit on the platform until the hold ends, then move to Connect.
| Project price (GBP) | Hold after accept |
|---|---|
| Under £100 | 7 days |
| £100 – £499 | 14 days |
| £500 – £1,999 | 30 days |
| £2,000+ | 45 days |
You get email when a payout is scheduled, with the expected release timing.
The hold clock starts at handoff, not at fund.
Platform fee
The buyer pays the agreed project price plus Velcio's platform fee. Your transfer is your share after that fee, subject to any termination fee or dispute outcome. See Pricing.
Revisions
Same capture and hold rules once the buyer accepts the revision. A revision does not restart the original project's payout hold.
Disputes
If the buyer disputes during review, the project goes disputed and any scheduled or in-flight payout freezes until an admin resolves it. Auto-accept does not run while disputed.
- Developer wins: accept completes. Payout scheduled under the usual hold
- Buyer wins: payment cancelled or refunded. Project cancelled. You lose access
- Closed: back to
